Responsible for assisting with hiring, training, and ongoing management of team members’ daily duties to ensure the highest quality customer service and instruction for our members.Assist with ensuring all team members are equipped with the most complete information and tools at their disposal to perform their job in a productive and efficient manner.Teach a maximum of 20 hours a week.Provide care and value in team members, acknowledge birthdays and other special occasions that will maintain high team member morale and job satisfaction.Assist in planning, organizing, and directing racquet sports programs, leagues, clinics, and special events.Process team member payroll records and submit to accounting per the scheduled calendar.Develop tennis, Padel and pickleball professionals’ knowledge as it relates to club management software, and POS, programs.Assist in the development and implementation of junior and adult programs, including lessons, clinics, camps, and tournaments.Monitor member satisfaction and engagement, ensuring that all programs meet the needs and interests of participants.Ensure effective communication between tennis, Padel and pickleball professionals and racquets sports office team.Assist and attend tennis, Padel and pickleball team member meetings, All-Staff meetings, weekly management team meetings and others as assigned by the Racquet Sports Director.Collaborate with the Racquet Sports Director to develop marketing strategies and promotions to increase participation.Respond to Medallia MXM surveys in a timely and professional manner.Oversee daily court maintenance, ensuring courts and facilities are in optimal condition.Assist in scheduling courts, managing bookings, and handling member inquiries or concerns.Welcome and introduce new members to staff professionals and assist them in getting involved in various programs/services with other members as soon as possible; conduct new member orientations.Ensure all program registration information has been entered into the club management system and is updated, as necessary.Participation in inventory management proves to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained and protected.Help manage the department's budget, track expenses, and maintain inventory for equipment and supplies.Assist with updating the tennis, Padel and pickleball portion of the Club websites including information, staff bios, links, and photos.Maintain a professional relationship with all vendors and work with them to provide high level service to members.Understand and address all facilities and court maintenance in collaboration with the Campus Director of Facilities and Security.Report facility maintenance and office equipment problems to maintenance or IT in a timely fashion for immediate repairs.Act as the Racquet Sports Director in their absence and take on additional responsibilities as needed.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The Racquet Sports Manager may perform other related duties as required or as assigned to meet the on-going needs of the organization.Skills and CertificationsBe active with professional organizations such as the USTA and USPTA and attend meetings and educational opportunities whenever possible.Ability to organize, instruct and direct programs.Effective teaching presentation skills.CPR and AED certification required.Good interpersonal skills and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Physical RequirementsMust be able to physically perform all stances, strokes, swings, positions, and approaches associated with the discipline of modern tennis.Must be able to sit, squat, bend, rotate, walk, run, and shift weight from one hip to the other.Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. on a frequent basis.Seated position for extended periods of time at desk, using phone and computer.Must be able to roll dry courts.To perform successfully as a Tennis Teaching Professional, the employee is required to execute the essential functions of the job. Employees in this position will be required to work in a year-round, outdoor tennis and racquet sports environment. Tennis Teaching Professionals deliver instruction on lighted hard courts, often in extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and inclement weather.
