If you love hospitality, creating amazing customer experiences, and the structure and benefits that come from working with a hotel company, then you will love working with Omni! This vital role will provide technical, mechanical, and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering and assist in the operational aspect of the Engineering Department. We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you have engineering management experience in a hotel environment, we would love to speak with you about this role.Salary range for this position (based on experience): $84,000 - $85,000/year. Additional associate benefits offered include golf privileges, discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, continued education opportunities, and more.Responsibilities:Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling, and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.Review work orders and assign work by priorities.Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.Respond to guest requests.Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities.Assume full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering Services.Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.Must be familiar with Omni's Systems and Services procedures.Qualifications:Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills.3-5 years of hotel engineering experience preferred.Previous experience at a hotel preferred.Experience managing a crew of 5 or more.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including covering overnight, weekends, and holidays. Schedule will vary according to business and operational needs.Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.Must possess painting, plumbing, electrical, minor carpentry, lighting, and computer skills.Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50-100 pounds without assistance.
