Make your passion your profession!Position OverviewThis role is responsible for the development and execution of sales strategies to retain and build existing, key account relationships while also securing new accounts for the Coffee Service Division. This role manages local, dedicated Sales resources responsible for growth.Function Related Activities/Key ResponsibilitiesDevelops strong working relationships with key customers, at various levels, to best understand the needs of the customer and retain the business.Develops/executes strategies to meet and exceed the goals of both our customers and the organization (financial and operational).Manage both current and new customer relationships within organizational profitability guidelines.Prospects, cold calls, and makes formal presentations of company pricing, products and promotions to regional or major coffee service customers to gain or expand new business.Oversees setup of new accounts as well as ongoing service through our Sales Execution and Operations teams. Ensures relationships with customers are properly managed.Oversees key relationships to set up product distribution with new customers and collaborates internally with Supply Chain to maintain the relationship and business processes required to serve the end customer.Drafts, analyzes, and approves customer financial models (Profitability Projection Models (PPMs)).Assists the Brand and Commercialization Teams with the planning of both market-wide and account-specific promotions and new items, including advertising and special sales.Meets primarily with key customers (large, complex and/or at-risk) to drive profitable growth, retention, or to conduct a business review.Assists sales representatives with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.Represents the company at trade association events and major trade shows.Reporting and AnalyticsAnalyzes industry and channel trends to identify development opportunities within current accounts.Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.Directs sales forecasting activities and reviews/analyzes sales data by location to set performance goals and promote sales.LeadershipResponsible for building, developing, and retaining talent necessary to drive a high-performance team.Actively manages performance against assigned KPIs and expectations by following established process and guidelines. Conducts ongoing performance conversations to set expectations, identify opportunities for improvement, and recognize employees for performance.Coaches and provides on-the-job training for Account Executives on developing prospect list from business directories, trade associations and all other available sources.Provides feedback on presentations and acts as a mentor to Account Executives on techniques and methods for gaining new business.OtherMay be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.Position RequirementsBachelor's degree from four-year College or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.5 years of successful related sales experience, specifically with regional or large revenue accounts. CPG experience preferred.Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM.Knowledge of SAP preferred.What We’re Looking ForStrategic thinking skills and advanced account management with track record of success.Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
