The Plant Manager is responsible for effectively planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the plant operations. Responsibilities include safety, environmental, quality, production, reliability, utilities, and cost control.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:Provide the direction and necessary resources to establish safety and environmental performance that meets the goals established for the plant. This includes development of the proper behavior and attitudes to guarantee excellent performance.Develop and implement plans to reduce environmental waste, meet applicable environmental regulations, and manage emergency situations that may occur at the site.Develop a plant-operating plan that is consistent with and supports the business plan.Determine what company resources are required to successfully implement the plan and work to get those resources to assist the plant.Actively support the managers of the product lines at the site location.Ensure standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production.Develop a capital plan that supports the business strategy and improves plant operations.Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs within functional areas.Develop employees through training and involvement programs to create a team environment that has decision-making authority throughout the organization.Identify development opportunities and provide subordinates opportunities to meet their career development plans. Create bench strength for the plant and for the company.Act as a change agent for the business and company.Represent Orbia to the external community.Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage 2-6 managers who supervise a total of 90-110 employees at the site facility, and be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.Carry out supervisor responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Education and/or Experience

Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university with emphasis in chemistry or chemical engineering, production or industrial management or other related field, and a minimum of ten years progressively responsible manufacturing/plant management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced business degree (MBA) a plus.Requires thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety procedures, preferably in a refinery or chemical operation with a 24/7 operating cycle.Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and environmentally sound work environment. Hold belief that safety is number one priority.Ability to provide leadership direction, coaching, and mentoring to subordinates.
