Ask anyone who knows us - the caliber of our people sets us apart.VDC, PROJECT MANAGERThe Virtual Design Construction (VDC), Project Manager is responsible for working with project teams to determine the proper VDC tools and workflows required to execute projects efficiently and ensuring that these efforts are in alignment with departmental and company goals. The VDC, Project Manager may also be required to provide marketing and estimating support.Qualifications:Required:Either bachelor’s degree or associate degree from accredited college/university or technical school with focus on Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science or related field.Minimum 5 years of VDC experience or equivalent in the commercial design and construction industry.Capacity to effectively manage and train less experienced VDC staff on VDC tools and workflows.Capacity to effectively train staff outside the VDC department on VDC tools and workflows.Advanced level competency using & training the use of BIM, reality capture, visualization, and model management software.Experience using and developing workflows for software such as Revit, Navisworks, Sketchup, Synchro or similar software, reality capture and others.Self-starter, efficient at working both independently and collaboratively within a team.Detail-oriented and able to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously without direct supervision.Strong problem-solving, mathematical and written/verbal communication skills.Detailed knowledge of current construction delivery methods, practices, and documentation.Ability to actively listen, mentally visualize and then create detailed 2D and 3D deliverables for use by internal and external clients.Must convey a high level of Professionalism to all aspects of job.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with focus on construction management, construction science, building engineering or related field.Experience with reality capture equipment and software and processes to produce valuable deliverables from the data to both internal and external clients.Experience producing 4D/5D Phasing plans and animations using Synchro or similar software.Experience creating virtual mockups.Experience using Dynamo or similar programming tools to help automate workflows.Experience using Adobe Creative Suite a plus.Desire to seek out and learn new processes and technologies.Responsibilities and Tasks:Work with internal project teams, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and execute BIM Execution Plan (BEP) for new projects.Meet with project teams to determine VDC scope, approach and budget for each specific project or project pursuit.Assist with Management and improvement of content libraries and protocols for maintaining them.Maintain close communication with VDC Director to maintain overall department consistency.Collaborate with VDC Director on evaluating and implementing the tools and practices necessary for McGough to succeed.Actively solicit voice of customer feedback to support continuous improvement.Create 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using Revit, Navisworks, Sketchup, Bluebeam, and Synchro (or similar) as determined through development of BEP.Develop models for Site Logistics, 4D phase planning, virtual mock-ups, and 3D coordination.Manage and facilitate design coordination and clash detection with design disciplines, subcontractors, and fabricators on medium to very large-scale projects.Assist project teams by utilizing BIM for visualization, constructability reviews and coordination.Train other project team members as needed on the access and use of VDC deliverables & BIM related tools.Achieve and maintain a high level of competency with VDC software through continued use, training and testing.Work professionally & collaboratively with all project team members.Office and Travel:Primarily works out of corporate office in Roseville, MN. Must be willing to travel to project jobsites. Some project travel may require multiple overnight stays.Physical Requirements:The physical requirements listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
