We are currently recruiting for an Insurance Underwriting Associate in Atlanta, GA (Dunwoody / Sandy Springs area). The Underwriting Associate will work on commercial insurance products. The ideal candidate should possess 1+ years of experience as an underwriting assistant / renewal business. Responsibilities include analyzing, pricing, quoting, and negotiating commercial lines insurance policies to fulfill agreed service standards and achieve key performance objectives. The team is expanding and offers opportunities for career advancement. The position offers a base salary of 60K-75K + bonus and comprehensive benefits package.Responsibilities:
Underwrite, analyze, price, and negotiate renewal accounts in line with risk quality and company strategy.Foster and maintain relationships with regional brokers and collaborate with company underwriters across the US.Meet production goals and underwrite profitably in a high-volume setting.Respond to broker inquiries.Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.Capable of effective interaction with all levels of internal and external contacts, including colleagues, brokers, and clients.Eager to learn, enhance product knowledge, and improve underwriting skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web applications.Strong written and verbal communication abilities.Preferred experience in underwriting small business commercial insurance accounts.Experience managing complex transactions in a call-center environment or underwriting assistant.No sponsorship.
