Benchmark is seeking a talented Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to contribute to company success by developing leads, establishing productive customer relationships, building, and closing business to achieve targeted sales goals. Successful candidates will demonstrate an entrepreneurial and positive attitude combined with the appropriate technical and inter-personal skills. The RSM will have a solutions selling approach to customer projects and be comfortable working in a team selling environment.

In this position you will:

Research and prospect for potential customers (phone calls, e-mails, conferences, tradeshows, etc.).

Develop new accounts from leads and prospecting efforts.

Maintain existing account relationships in a professional and profitable manner.

Promote & sell Benchmark equipment and establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base.

Follow up on company-supplied leads in a timely manner.

Work closely with customers to ensure meeting all goals & objectives towards customer satisfaction.

Achieve and maintain annual sales goals.

Maintain a prospect-customer CRM/database. Develop and maintain sales reports.

Complete and submit properly prepared RFPs to Applications Engineering Dept. through CRM.

Prepare and present sales proposals and solutions.

Negotiate contracts.

Attend training sessions and company meetings as required.

Stay up to date of new technology, market developments, and competitor offerings.

Work cross-functionally across the enterprise to identify key influencers and capitalize on opportunities.

Adaptable and open to change regarding customer solutions and internal company business plans.

Who we are looking for:

7 – 10+ years proven sales experience.

Automation machinery experience.

Established contact base in the baking industry.

Bachelor’s or Technical Degree (Engineering/Technical preferred).

Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

Ability to identify customer needs and match requirements with company services/solutions.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Experience with AutoCAD and CRM systems (Salesforce).
