Responsibilities:Area Manager (Power)
Purpose Statement:
Responsible for production, safety, quality, maintenance coordination, & process improvements for Power. Reports to: Power and Recovery Superintendent.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for safety systems & performance in the department.
Responsible for environmental compliance in areas assigned.
Works closely with maintenance group to prioritize & schedule maintenance activities.
Manages costs by tracking costs against plan and conducting cost analysis.
Facilitates the setting of objectives and strategies along with daily tactical planning.
Skills:

Clearly demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
Conflict Resolution:
Professionally resolves conflicts/disagreements.
Leadership:
Genuinely possesses intent to foster the learning and development of work group members.
Technical:
Strongly demonstrates a technical understanding of the pulp mill process.
Coaching/Counseling:
Ethically develops a positive working environment.
Problem Solving:
Routinely analyzes situations to generate solutions.
Planning:
Effectively forecasts future production/operational demands.
Qualifications:
5-7 years of supervision experience.
B.A./B.S. level of education or other related equivalent work experience.
Recovery Boiler specific knowledge & experience is preferred.
