As a key member of our logistics department, you will play a pivotal role in driving our business forward through efficient freight management, exceptional customer service, and strategic business development.Description

Responsibilities:Freight Management:

Oversee the entire freight process, including transportation planning, booking, and tracking. Ensure timely and cost-effective shipments while adhering to regulatory standards.Carrier Management:

Manage and develop relationships with carriers, negotiating favorable rates and ensuring reliable transportation services.Shipment Coordination:

Coordinate and dispatch shipments to carriers, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure strict adherence to federal regulations for the transportation of goods, maintaining compliance and preventing delays.Shipment Tracking:

Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery, resolving any issues or delays promptly.Business Development:

Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and expand our freight services.Customer Service:

Provide exceptional customer service, building strong relationships and addressing customer needs effectively.Billing & Invoicing:

Manage billing and invoicing processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments.Accounting:

Assist with accounting tasks related to freight operations, including cost analysis and financial reporting.Networking:

Develop and maintain strong relationships within the freight industry to stay updated on industry trends and potential partnerships.Qualifications:Strong knowledge of transportation management and logistics principles.Proven experience in freight transportation and carrier management.Proficiency in dispatching shipments and coordinating logistics operations.Familiarity with FDA regulations for freight transportation.Excellent sales skills and ability to drive revenue growth.Demonstrated ability in sales management and customer relationship management.Proficient in using AS400 system for order management and tracking.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office.Knowledge of relevant regulations and laws.Must be U.S. Citizen.Required Skills:Issue resolution experience.Written and verbal communication skills.Problem-solving skills.Data analysis skills.Remote with flexibility to work on site.Education:Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field required.Incentives for Growth & Development:Ortetine is committed to your professional growth and development.
