Job Responsibilities:
Perform advanced level professional planning work in current or advanced planning.
Assume responsibility for major aspects of planning, such as neighborhood and downtown.
Conduct and supervise planning studies in the community; gather data for evaluating current and advance planning projects.
Conduct public meetings with neighborhood groups.
Collect, analyze, and present data in written, graphic, or oral forms to various boards, commissions, and committees.
Perform research, planning, and technical analysis for complex planning projects; prepare alternative land use plans for selected areas within the city.
Confer with engineers, developers, architects, and a variety of agencies, neighborhood, and community groups in acquiring information and coordinating planning and zoning matters.
Experience:Six (6) years of responsible professional urban or regional planning experience.
Training:A Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, urban affairs, or a related field.
