Black, Indigenous, People of Color, veterans, and those with diverse abilities are encouraged to apply.Job/Department Summary:Student Services Professional II:Under general supervision of the Director, the Student Services Professional II/Career Advisor performs moderately complex professional student service work including developing and facilitating workshops, seminars, and presentations throughout campus, on resume writing, interview skills, job market trends, and job search strategies in response to a variety of needs and concerns of individual students, student organizations, administration, and faculty. Responsibilities include comprehensive and independent student advisement and guidance in individual and group settings involving career planning and related issues. Additionally, incumbent assists with administrative planning and program management to provide quality programming and performs other duties as assigned.ORStudent Services Professional III:Under general direction of the Director the Student Services Professional III/Career Advisor performs complex Student Services professional work by developing and facilitating workshops, seminars and presentations throughout the campus on resume writing, interview skills, job market trends, and job search strategies. Responsibilities include comprehensive and independent student advisement and guidance in individual and group settings involving career planning and related issues, and considerable administrative planning and program management.Required Education and Experience:Student Services Professional II:Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field. Two years of professional experience in one of the student services program areas or a related field is required.ORStudent Services Professional III:Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field. Three years of full-time professional experience in one of the student services program areas or in a related field is required.Preferences:Preference may be given to applicants with experience working directly with students in a career advising capacity, experience working in the business industry, and experience with hiring/recruiting.Time Base:

12/12CSU Classification Salary Range for SSP II:

$53,256 - $75,720 per year.CSU Classification Salary Range for SSP III:

$58,032 - $82,692 per year.Benefits:
