The Rivian Service team is looking for highly motivated and exceptional Senior Purchasing professionals to accelerate the growth of Rivian Service Procurement excellence. In this role, the Senior Purchasing Manager will be responsible for sourcing and managing parts that make up the building blocks of the R1T, R1S, and Electric Delivery Vehicles, and off-vehicle programs, with starting commodities including Propulsion, Thermal, and Low voltage. As a Senior Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for all Service aspects of the awarding of new business, developing strong supplier relationships, and working side by side with our engineering counterparts to push the envelope of our technical requirements. You will also take the lead in making sure Rivian can meet its cost targets, suppliers deliver to our aggressive timelines, and parts are received at the highest level of quality. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Service NPI within the Technical Service Organization.Responsibilities

Build a model to drive negotiations and sourcing strategy for Service materials.Lead the strategic sourcing process by ensuring that the product is matched to the right supplier, and they are effective in delivering the product in collaboration with the technical Service team.Lead Service contractual negotiations with suppliers on Non-disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Service Pricing, and Lifetime Support post production end of life.Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, and develop a sourcing strategy and roadmap for Rivian stakeholders while considering market conditions as well as technology roadmaps.Perform detailed assessments of supplier quote submissions with costs and business needs in mind.Actively manage supplier relationships and performance through key performance metrics, plant audits and technical reviews.Work closely with Service Technical Program Management to track sourcing progress, execute product kick-off, and manage progress towards product launch events.Be an advocate for RIVIAN core values to the market.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.3+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or purchasing experience and/or propulsion, low voltage, thermal experience.3+ years' experience leading RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.3+ years managing commercial business relationships with automotive suppliers.3+ years MS Office.Experience negotiating and managing Tier1 and Tier2 suppliers.Strong analytical ability to break down complex problems and data sets to derive meaningful, actionable results.Comfort in working independently and in teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Ability to understand Engineering and Design direction and provide focused supply-chain solutions accordingly.Experience with automotive, electronic, or consumer products, and the design and manufacture thereof.Pay Disclosure

Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $98k - $123k (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).Benefits Summary: Rivian provides robust medical/Rx, dental and vision insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26.
