Eastern Healthcare is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as

Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)

and assist in organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.

Pay and Compensation:

Job Description:

An Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is responsible for the nursing team and quality of patient service in the absence of the Director of Nursing. The ADON supervises, analyzes, delegates, and evaluates nursing activities and ensures patient comfort and care. A staff development coordinator must have solid leadership skills and a solid understanding of the company’s needs, helping them to choose relevant and effective training programs. They must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to easily learn new skills and teach them to others.

Responsibilities:

Helping to hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses.

Managing clinical operations and developing care plans.

Assisting in budget preparation and expense management.

Conducting patient rounds and addressing complaints.

Training and educating staff.

Requirements of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):

Registered Nurse with current state license.

Must have a current/active CPR certification.

Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years of recent experience in a supervisory role in a nursing care facility.

Excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with a high level of quality and productivity.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
