Job Description - Storeroom Associate (PRN | As Needed) (2300039O)DescriptionThe Storeroom Attendant is responsible for receiving, storing, inventorying, and distributing food and kitchen supplies. They will clean and maintain sanitary conditions according to department standards and maintain inventory controls.QualificationsMinimum EducationHigh School Diploma or GED (Required)

Minimum Work Experience2 years of food service experience in storage, receiving, and inventory control process (Required) or 4 years of food handling experience (Required)

Required Skills/KnowledgeThe ability to work harmoniously with a variety of people. Must show courtesy, tact, confidentiality, and reasonable speed in performance of duties. Basic calculations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication). Knowledge of HACCP controls for receiving, food quality standards, and receiving criteria. Basic keyboard skills required. Ability to lift/push weights up to 50 lbs. Demonstrates a positive approach while interacting with all customers. Demonstrates ability to use all channels of communication to address issues or concerns as observed by supervisor. Demonstrates cooperative relationships with other areas and departments. Demonstrates integrity and honesty in relationships with customers, including vendors. Demonstrates effective time management by completing assignments within a target time. Demonstrates ability to operate all equipment used in a safe and responsive manner. Demonstrates knowledge of safety procedures and practices in the work area as indicated by a lack of incident or injury. Demonstrates ability to process approved food/supplies orders utilizing the department computer system as assigned.

Maintain department, hospital, and regulatory agency sanitation standards.Maintain sanitation standards for all storage areas including dry storage, refrigerated, and freezer storage.Complete special cleaning assignments within target time.Dispose of trash and obvious clutter as needed.Restock food and supplies neatly and safely using FIFO according to department standards.Follow established food handling practices according to department standards to maintain sanitation and infection control.Equipment SafetyReport any malfunction of equipment to supervisor immediately.Label/lock out, tag out any equipment not in good working order properly.Record KeepingMaintain vendor compliance logbook.Verify vendor delivery ticket, make appropriate adjustments, recalculate total, and sign.Maintain accurate inventory records.Print purchase orders at the time of processing as assigned.Receiving and StorageCheck, count, and receive items according to invoice accurately.Document all variations in invoice and communicate findings to production manager and/or AFSD.Receive and store food items using HACCP controls and according to food quality standards.Store and rotate items using FIFO techniques.Maintain security procedures in all storerooms.InventoryComplete weekly and end-of-month inventory.Review inventory with production manager/AFSD.Report all variances in inventory immediately.Time and AttendanceReport to work area in proper attire and on time as scheduled.Comply with department time and attendance policy and procedure.Return from breaks on time.Productivity and Cost EffectivenessNotify supervisor of workload status and availability for additional assignments or need for additional assistance.Perform other duties as assigned.Organizational AccountabilitiesOrganizational Commitment/Identification
