FUN Coordinator
to join our vibrant team. Our mission is to empower individuals to achieve the quality of life they aspire to, and as our FUN Coordinator, you’ll help bring smiles, laughter, and connections to the people we support.Key Responsibilities:Act as Makom’s “Cruise Director on land” by planning and leading engaging social activities.Create and facilitate group and individual programs that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being.Build partnerships with local schools, religious groups, and community organizations to foster social inclusion.Develop innovative event themes and strategies to help individuals achieve their social and relational aspirations, including friendships and group connections.Collaborate with other team members to develop educational materials and programs.Support the use of technology to ensure full participation in activities and events.Conduct evaluations to improve future programs and provide reports as necessary.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a human services discipline or 2+ years of experience in working with individuals with developmental disabilities.Strong program planning and organizational skills.Outgoing, creative, and enthusiastic personality with a passion for making connections.Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.Valid MD, VA, or DC driver’s license with the ability to pass required screenings and background checks.Why Join Us?
