At Regions, the Risk Analyst performs advanced risk analyst duties as a first or second-line of defense function for the bank. This position will lead the coordination efforts with internal and external parties to conduct financial reporting, controls, policy and procedure documentation, governance activities, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this position will develop and implement independent reporting and/or financial analysis to assist in the Risk team’s oversight role. This role will assist in improvement efforts and provide regular updates on various practices, reports, policies, and procedures within the department.Primary ResponsibilitiesConducts routine or non-complex identification, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting tasksDevelops and reports independent analyses that provide greater insight into risk exposures and mitigation effortsEnhances team processes, and updates policies and procedures to reflect improvementsParticipates in the team’s preparation and involvement in regulatory examinations, which may include the annual Federal Reserve stress tests, examinations, etc.Remains well informed of regulatory and industry practicesResolves a range of straightforward problems and analyzes possible solutions using standard proceduresBuilds knowledge of the organization, processes, and customersMay assist with financial stress testing simulationsThis position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field and two (2) years of related experienceOr High School Diploma and six (6) years of related experienceFamiliarity with fundamental risk theories, principles, and conceptsSkills and CompetenciesAbility to learn additional systems as neededAbility to research, analyze data, and derive factsAbility to work in a team environment when applicableAbility to work under direct guidanceAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skillsStrong work ethic and self-motivationAdditional Responsibilities

Identifies, monitors, and report risks that are emerging for TODDTransforms data into a meaningful format for operational and/or decision-making purposes to proactively mitigate riskProvide data analytics support, process improvements automation, and/or data visualizationAssist in growth of data and analytics competencies on the teamGather requirements, identify opportunities to recommend, and execute strategies that promote proactive risk management and improve operational efficienciesBuild and maintain Analytical Reporting Tools and DatabasesInterpret, analyze, and provide insights to teams and managers to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities for risk mitigationCollaborates and coordinates within TODD teams and key stakeholders to promote consistent risk approachContribute to effective governance materials through reporting and data visualization to aid the Technology and Operations Risk Oversight Committee (TOROC) in execution of its dutiesResponsible for multiple deliverables with deadline sensitivityObtains and maintains necessary training to keep current on the discipline of Risk Management, including data riskMay offer guidance to other analysts, through peer coaching and/or recommending appropriate training and/or tools neededResponsible for determining, documenting, presenting and/or reporting timelines, milestones, value propositions and other details of use caseSkills and CompetenciesDemonstrated knowledge and experience with analytical software such as Power Query, Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), and applicable Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated knowledge and experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and/or TableauDemonstrated knowledge and experience with tools such as SharePoint Online, JIRA, and/or ConfluenceAbility to build strong partnershipsAbility to research, analyze data, and derive factsKnowledge of enterprise and operational risk management framework and principlesStrong work ethic, self-motivation, and high level of intellectual curiosityAbility to coordinate cross-functionally to gather and analyze dataPreferencesMaster’s degree in related fieldExperience with R Programming or PythonDemonstrated knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools, such as Archer, ServiceNow, etc.This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building with the primary locations being for
