The Inclusive Partners Specialist responds to requests and referrals to provide reflective and relationship-based technical assistance to early educators/programs that supports quality, inclusive care for all children. The Inclusion Specialist will provide professional development opportunities, educational and behavioral guidance strategies, and resources for early childhood educators.This role reports directly to the Director of Child Care Resource and Referral. We also have a beautiful site in the city of Hood River.What you will do…Create ongoing trusting relationships with early education programs and a range of educators to develop the most conducive environment for inclusion, learning, and reflection.Collaborate with Inclusive Partners and members of the Child Care Partners team to coordinate and implement inclusive practices throughout the region.Coordinate and deliver training, consultation and technical assistance to early educators to support quality inclusive care.Manage and report project data.Conduct community presentations, when requested by supervisor.Provide on-site visits to programs needing intensive support, including observation and feedback.Support providers in their environmental and individual inclusive accommodation strategies.Complete environmental and individual observations/assessment tools, as deemed appropriate.Provide materials, resources and suggestions to strengthen practice implementation.What you bring….Bachelor's degree in ECE or related field (Human Development, Child and Family Studies, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology) or a Step 10 on the Oregon Registry.Minimum of 20 hours of training in adult education/development or willing to obtain in the first year of employment.Bilingual English/Spanish, strongly preferred.Minimum of three years of direct service in the field of early care and education.Minimum of one year experience supporting adult professional development.Knowledge of early learning quality assessment tools, including:a. Classroom Assessment Scoring Scale (CLASS)b. Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) (specifically, Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale-3 and Family Child Care Environments Rating Scale Program Assessment Scale (PAS)Knowledge of child assessment and screening tools, including:a. Ages and Stages Questionnaireb. Ages and Stages Questionnaire-Social Emotionalc. Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA)Knowledge of Early Learning Frameworks and Curriculuma.
