Our client, a leading seafood importer and distributor, is seeking an experienced and driven Regional Sales Representative to join their team. This role is focused on the development of new business relationships within the restaurant and hospitality industry, specifically targeting restaurants, hotels, motels, casinos, country clubs, white-linen restaurants, restaurant chains, convention centers, and corporate businesses.

The ideal candidate will have a proven background in seafood sales, with experience prospecting and managing relationships with commercial kitchens. This is a hunter role where you will be responsible for expanding the companys presence in the restaurant sector, which currently makes up 25% of their business in Washington.

While you will inherit a small book of business and previous contacts, the primary focus will be on hunting for new opportunities. The territory for this position ranges from Bellingham to Olympia, with a significant concentration of business along the I-5 corridor from Everett to Tacoma.

Responsibilities

Develop new business opportunities by prospecting and building relationships with restaurants, hotels, motels, casinos, country clubs, white-linen restaurants, restaurant chains, convention centers, and corporate businesses.Manage and grow a small inherited book of business while aggressively pursuing new accounts.Focus exclusively on selling seafood to restaurants, ensuring alignment with the companys business strategy.Provide menu consulting and tailored seafood solutions to meet the specific needs of clients.Travel within the designated territory from Bellingham to Olympia, with a primary focus on the I-5 corridor between Everett and Tacoma.Maintain a strong service-oriented approach while actively hunting for new business.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in menu consulting and restaurant sales, with a strong emphasis on seafood.Proven track record in sales, particularly in prospecting and developing new business in the restaurant industry.Experience managing relationships with commercial kitchens; a book of business is highly desirable.Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred, but not required.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.Stable work history with no frequent job changes ("No Job Hoppers").Ability to work independently and thrive in a competitive, service-focused sales environment.
