Profile Summary

The Sr. IT Claims Business Analyst role supports our Claims Business by working with the development teams with responsibility for eliciting, understanding and documenting business needs to determine and recommend the most optimal solution to conduct software development. Assists in formulating creative, technical contributions to defining user business and functional requirements for enhancements and projects and implementing IT business solutions. Acts as an adept analytical resource focusing on critical business priorities. Assists in establishing plans for defining, delivering, enabling and supporting information technology components into the organization architecture.Profile Description

Support our Claims ecosystem product development (Salesforce, Workato, Digital Properties etc.) based on business needsDirect the requirements development for applying technology to satisfy business needsProven Salesforce.com integration and administrative skillsServe as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow.Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.Work directly with and serve as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams.Assist/Partner with our Claims QA team in defining testing strategy and risks.Provide consulting regarding the practices and methods for defining detailed business requirements including planning, documentation, analysis and alignment to corporate standards.Partner with our Business BA team to elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysisMonitor and manage data integrity while promoting best practices for system usage.Understands all aspects of Salesforce configuration and technical/functional capabilities, including all changes and potential system implications related to the Salesforce release upgrades.Manage and configure Salesforce Sales & Service Cloud.Proficient in Lightning Platform and capabilities.Partners with our Software Development Consultant in auditing data to uncover data integrity issues and/or opportunities for process improvement.Document and refine business requirements to describe the business needs to a functional requirement level without presuming a technical solution. Under the guidance of a Software Development Consultant, ensure requirements are verifiable and testable once a solution is definedSupport the execution of the development pipeline and delivery of Voya’s software products including vendor solutions to QA, and ultimately to productionWork in execution of product development across all teams as part of the development lifecycleOperate at a high technical level for identified phases of IT projects.Identify applicable technology optimizations/modernizations to given business problems with the assistance and direction of the Software Development ConsultantSupports project manager/release manager by developing detailed project information such as scope information, estimates, evaluation criteria and results, etc.Assist in the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.Helps shape our evolving claims product model with process improvement consultationCoaches and mentors where applicable in support of the requirements/design process.Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a directly related fieldEight + years of professional IT experience in technical and business analysis with 2+ years of Salesforce experienceCertified Salesforce Administrator essential required or willing to work towards in the first 12 months post hire. Salesforce Platform Dev I and II certifications desirable.Required Skills

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
