Job Summary and QualificationsManages large scale/complex projects ranging from $300-400 million dollars for all Medical City Dallas campuses, including, but not limited to: coordinating user/architect meetings, contract documents, bidding, construction, budgets, scheduling, space management, management of contracted staff; and turnover. Also, performs special projects in support of the hospital mission, vision and facility goals including: Power Point presentations, usage analysis, etc. Interfaces with Ltd., physicians, vendors, contractors, authorities having jurisdiction, the Engineering Department, key user groups, patients, and executive management. Periodically acts as liaison within hospital and corporate office. Identifies opportunities and remedies through continuous peer satisfaction and employee involvement. Plans and coordinates utility shutdowns. Maintains capital and operating budgets. Expected to participate periodically in strategic committees including construction committee, equipment committee, process improvement teams, medical advisory committee and information management committee. Serves as the hospital 504 ADA Coordinator as mandated by HCA Ethics & Compliance (see 504 ADA Coordinator JD for additional job duties/responsibilities).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Requires Bachelors in architectural, engineering, or healthcare related field

At least 5 years in healthcare, including large-scale project management and design and construction experience are required

Good understanding of hospital environment processes, as well as equipment and its impact upon the facility is preferred

The incumbent is required to demonstrate strong leadership abilities and success in project planning

At least three years demonstrated success in management to include management of personnel, project budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, and physician relations

Demonstrated successful implementations of customer service, teambuilding, and PI programs and/or processes.

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
