We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Lead Engineer to join our Integrated Project Management Team (iPMT). The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of engineering throughout the BFS (Bankable Feasibility Study) phase. This pivotal role ensures that project costs are aligned with budgets and that all commercial activities support the project's objectives.Key Responsibilities:Contract Management: Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts to ensure they meet the project's commercial and financial goals. Oversee the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.Cost Monitoring and Control: Monitor project costs to ensure alignment with the budget. Implement cost control measures and provide regular cost reports to senior management. Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs, and propose corrective actions as needed.Coordination with Procurement: Work closely with the procurement team to ensure the timely acquisition of materials and services. Evaluate supplier bids and proposals to ensure they meet project requirements and budget constraints.Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Liaise with engineering teams to ensure commercial aspects are integrated into the project planning and execution phases. Support engineering teams in understanding commercial objectives and constraints.Risk Management: Identify and manage commercial risks associated with the project. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project continuity.Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on commercial performance, highlighting key metrics and insights. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all commercial activities and decisions.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Extensive experience in commercial management within the engineering sector, preferably in the BFS phase.Strong understanding of contract law and experience in contract negotiation and administration.Proficient in cost monitoring and control techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.Moving forward togetherWe're committed to building a diverse, inclusive and respectful workplace where everyone feels they belong, can bring themselves, and are heard.
