Overview:Come grow with us by joining our team as a Procurement Manager! As a pivotal player in our company, you'll lead and inspire a team of Procurement Specialists dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maintaining our customer commitments. In this dynamic role, you will drive the sourcing strategy for critical parts used in our customer service units, ensuring seamless communication with our sales and warehouse teams.

You'll be at the forefront of managing procurement costs, optimizing supplier delivery performance, and enhancing internal and external communications. Your efforts will directly support our nationwide warehousing and logistics strategy, making you a key contributor to our success.Responsibilities:Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing:

Perform expert-level purchasing duties, source quality products at the best prices, and manage daily reports and internal order requests for all locations.

Team Management:

Oversee day-to-day operations of the purchasing department, including hiring, training, and staff performance management.

Project Leadership:

Identify, initiate, and lead projects to acquire and develop sourcing opportunities by analyzing historical data and production schedules.

Supplier Negotiation : Lead supplier negotiations, manage terms, and navigate market conditions to secure favorable agreements.

Policy & Procedure Support:

Assist senior management in creating and implementing purchasing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.

Supplier Management:

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, evaluate supplier quotes and services, and manage part pricing in the Dealer Management System (DMS).

Process Management:

Ensure proper ordering procedures are followed, including stock ordering, purchase order linking, and verification. Process warranty requests, manage internal parts & labor lists, and handle inventory transfers.

Data & Documentation Integrity:

Maintain data accuracy and integrity in purchasing, including supplier contact information and part creation.

Market Analysis:

Monitor and analyze transportation industry trends to enhance competitiveness and inform purchasing decisions.

Customer & Supplier Relations:

Ensure customer satisfaction and manage supplier relationships, including initiating RMA processes where appropriate.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and develop opportunities for process improvement, manage and complete assigned projects, and assist with problem-solving related to purchasing.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:Minimum Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

7-10 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing and Sourcing or Supply Chain Management, with 5+ years in a Managerial role leading a team of 10+ Procurement/Supply Chain professionals

Strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in Procurement or Supply Chain Management

Proficiency in analyzing data to make informed procurement decisions and manage departmental reporting effectively

Advanced skillset in Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders

Ability to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Familiarity with procurement software and tools and experience with inventory systems

Must demonstrate the ability to operate with high independence and make informed decisions with minimal supervision

Highly organized and detail-oriented with a proven track record of managing tasks accurately and responsibly.

Professional demeanor with a cooperative attitude, capable of maintaining positive working relationships and handling sensitive situations with diplomacy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within the commercial vehicle/automotive industry and understanding its procurement practices and requirements

Advanced degree such as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, or a related field and/or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM)

Proven track record of managing large-scale procurement operations, including experience in a senior or leadership role.

Expertise in developing and executing complex sourcing strategies tailored to commercial vehicle needs

Advanced skills in negotiating with and managing relationships with major suppliers and vendors in the commercial vehicle sector

Strong background in cost analysis and management and achieving cost savings without compromising quality

Company retains the sole discretion to change the duties of the position at any time.Pay Range: $75,000 to $95,000
