Pay Range: $101,400 - $126,700

Job Title: Supervisor - Electric Line Operations

Responsibilities

Supervises employees in the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric and/or gas distribution and transmission systems. Oversees, plans, and schedules new construction work, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training activities. Ensures that construction and maintenance are completed in accordance with construction standards, following approved policies, procedures, safety rules, and budgets. May interact with customers (internal & external) to solve problems/concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plans and oversees the work of line and gas and/or electric departments, ensuring safe and efficient operation of daily field activities.

Schedules the work of line or street crews, assesses project scope, and assigns appropriate crew and skill balance.

Administers damage claims and billing, monitors the accuracy of Gas Records for auditing purposes, and ensures compliance with safety rules and regulations.

Oversees construction office and supports budget management, coordinating activities with local and state highway officials.

Supervises emergency restoration efforts.

Coordinates safety training, documentation, inspections, and accident investigations.

Skills and Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferred; Associate degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience or High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of relevant experience required.

Knowledge of line work and construction.

Knowledge of line, gas, and/or electric theory, switching, tagging, labor agreements, safety manual, and leak detection methods.

Knowledge of industry codes including NEC, NESC, Hazmat, and OSHA.

Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License.

May require various DOT Operator Qualifications.

Skills/Abilities:

Results and customer service oriented.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Self-directed work skills with emphasis on multitasking.

Computer skills applicable to MS Word, MS Excel, SAP, and MS Outlook.

Demonstrated supervisory skills.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Must be available for response to after hours to work storms, emergencies, and critical assignments.
