Supervise and manage the crew responsible for installing water, storm, and sewer pipelinesRead and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure the accurate installation of utilitiesEnsure proper alignment, elevation, and grade for pipe installationsCoordinate with project managers, site superintendents, and other trades to ensure timely completion of workMonitor daily activities to ensure that production goals are met while maintaining quality and safety standardsEnforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety meetings with the crewTroubleshoot any issues that arise on-site, including conflicts in plans, weather delays, and equipment malfunctionsEnsure equipment and tools are properly used and maintainedPrepare daily reports on job progress, crew performance, and any site issuesWork with inspectors and ensure all work passes regulatory inspections and quality control checksQualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in pipe installation for civil construction projectsPrevious experience as a Pipe Foreman or similar leadership role in utility installationStrong understanding of civil construction practices, including trench safety, excavation, and pipe-laying techniquesAbility to read and interpret construction blueprints and specificationsExcellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage crews and collaborate with other tradesKnowledge of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environmentProficiency in operating heavy machinery used for pipe installation (excavators, loaders, etc.)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportationCompensation
