Located in Van Nuys, CA. Full-Time, In Office. The Lead Warehouse Associate is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of goods. The Warehouse Lead provides leadership and guidance to warehouse staff, coordinates workflow, and ensures adherence to safety protocols and company policies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage a team in a fast-paced environment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Team Leadership:Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing direction, coaching, and support to ensure high performance and productivity.Assign tasks and responsibilities, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement.Inventory Management:Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with inventory control procedures.Perform cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, and maintain inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).Order Fulfillment:Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.Monitor order status, prioritize orders based on urgency, and communicate with internal teams to meet customer deadlines.Safety and Compliance:Enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe work environment for all warehouse personnel.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company policies related to warehouse operations.Equipment Maintenance:Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.Coordinate repairs and maintenance activities as needed to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory movements.COMPETENCIES:Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve goals and objectives.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office applications.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control principles, and safety regulations.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.3 - 4 years of experience in warehouse operations, with demonstrated leadership experience.2 years of experience with forklift operation and other warehouse equipment.Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team environment.Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to lift 50 pounds.Bend or twist body.Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls.Stand for long periods of time.Keep or regain their balance.Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.Other detailsJob Family: Warehouse OperationsJob Function: Supply ChainPay Type: HourlyMin Hiring Rate: $20.00Max Hiring Rate: $22.00
