We bring together exceptional talent and harness diverse backgrounds and perspectives to make life more vibrant for everyone, every day.Summary:The Group Lead monitors production and directs the performance and quality output of team members through the use of Redzone. Oversees the operation of all production (manufacturing or packaging) equipment to meet daily production goals. Compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), SOPs, and Safety Procedures is essential.ResponsibilitiesIn partnership with the Supervisor, supports and maintains an environment that fosters good communication and teamwork within the department and related departments.Trains, cross-trains, and mentors employees in all functions of production to ensure continuous improvement. Facilitates smooth rotation of employees and sets production speeds to ensure a balanced workflow.Ensures production employees comply with all cGMPs and standard operating procedures.Coordinates production activities, responds to, and resolves routine production problems quickly by re-assigning and training team members.Reviews and maintains accurate batch records of production for cGMP compliance.Performs daily close out of work orders in JDE, collects and enters all OEE reporting data.Performs all duties in compliance with cGMPs, SOPs, safety and quality procedures.Performs aspects of the automated operation process, including but not limited to running machines, set up/tear down, sanitizing which can include washing parts and disassembly as trained and instructed by Supervisor, in compliance with all safety and cGMPs.Responsible for ensuring each product is prepared, filled, assembled, packed, and documented according to work instructions/SOPs, batch records and cGMP guidelines and/or procedures.Understands OEE data collection from machines and department, and is able to react accordingly including elevating issues to appropriate personnel, a Lead or Supervisor.Flexibility in cross-training between operation functions and other departments when needed.Knowledgeable and competent to perform breakdown/set up of smaller components on heavy machinery, as instructed by supervisor, in compliance with all safety and cGMP procedures.Ability to identify and raise awareness of problems and possibly provide solutions for consideration.Supports team in breaking down/setting up heavy machinery, operating various equipment, sanitization (major/minor clean).Performs manual aspects of the operation process, including but not limited to making boxes, loading machines, hand packing product, and visual and physical checks of in-process and finished materials as trained and instructed by supervisor, in compliance with all safety and cGMP procedures.Learns and performs one or more aspects of the automated operation process, including but not limited to running machines, as trained and instructed by supervisor, in compliance with all safety and cGMP procedures.Properly wears Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required per cGMP guidelines.Accurately enters data records in Redzone and interprets written information within the batch record.Actively utilizes lean tools for process improvement.Performs 5S activities and maintains organization of operating areas.QualificationsMinimum of four (4) years of experience in manufacturing/packaging or related field.Possesses a genuine desire to work in manufacturing and truly enjoys working within all aspects of the manufacturing process.Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs., climb step-up ladders, and perform constant motions of scooping, wiping, raising of arms, bending, and kneeling, if needed.Ability to be exposed to nutraceutical raw materials and powders which may include allergen-related items.Ability to comprehend basic computer knowledge.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.High School education (HS Diploma or GED) preferred.A reasonable estimate of the current base hourly/salary range for this position is $24.72 to $28.84. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
