Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) has the fastest, lowest cost path to commercial fusion energy.CFS collaborates with MIT to leverage decades of research combined with groundbreaking new high-temperature superconducting (HTS) magnet technology. To implement this plan, we are looking to add dedicated people to the team who treat people well, improve our work by adding multifaceted perspectives and new ways of solving problems, have achieved outstanding results through a range of pursuits, and have skills and experience related to this role.You will manage the team responsible for the end-to-end supply plan to ensure demand and supply for critical system builds are cohesive with the Integrated Master Schedule and Production Plans that allow the company to meet its objectives. You will be a leader who aligns company stakeholders with targets and objectives using production control, scheduling and planning best practices. You will be the planning subject matter expert and exceptional people leader within a collaborative culture and exhibit transparent communication and innovative solutions for mitigating schedule risk.This team member will:

Manage the SPARC Master Schedule for construction and integrationCreate and ensure compliance with all CFS Safety guidelines and policies; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors while maintaining a clean work environmentEstablish and achieve team KPIsEstablish ‘pull’ strategy from the SPARC procurement and planning organizations to deliver systems and components for construction per the defined Master ScheduleEnsure accuracy of pick orders and record verified information in CFS ERP systemOptimize and support business processes including master data management, sales and operations planning and MRPManage the master scheduling and planning process for direct materials in support of internal customer requirementsNegotiate internally and externally at high levels and with persons of influenceProvide constant, clear, and timely updates to internal customersHire, develop, mentor, and performance manage the planning and production control teamsSupervise, evaluate and coach team membersDevelop, monitor, and report supply and production risk mitigation strategiesThe ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree preferably in the field of Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Finance or other related fieldMasters Degree is a plusCertifications preferred: A.P.P., C.P.M., CPSM, CSCP, CPIM10+ years experience in Planning or Supply Chain5+ years experience in advanced ERP functionality5+ years experience managing multiple levels of staffExperience in manufacturing environmentExperience in a start-up or high growth environmentProven experience in establishing new or managing improvements to business processesSQL / database query languagesAdditional experience and/or qualifications:

Exceptional understanding of ERP & MRP functionality, logic and applicationsDemonstrable experience/understanding of Master Scheduling best practicesRobust understanding of sales, inventory, and operations planning processes (SIOP, S&OP, IPT or other)Remarkable problem-solving skills with a bias for speedAbility to lead and mentor individuals at all levelsStrong computer skills with MS office and G-Suite applicationsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalResiliency - ability to lead, negotiate and inspire teams to work positively under moments of ambiguity and stressAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsPerform activities such as stopping, typing, standing, and sitting for extended periods of timeWork in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenicsWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionallyCFS team members thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have demonstrated exceptional results through a range of different pursuits.
