Gpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in northern Kentucky who is searching for a Plant Manager. Business is booming and the company is going through rapid growth. With multiple facilities and a new one on the way, they are seeking a Plant Manager who values continuous improvement and hands-on leadership. This person will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations, while maintaining a fun, team-oriented environment where employees are well rewarded for their efforts. This is a 500-person plant that operates 27/4 across 3 shifts.Candidates need to have:Bachelor’s Degree5+ years plant leadership within a food manufacturing environment – USDA/meat operations requiredStrong understanding of production and packaging operationsExperience within a plant start-up, turn-around, or growth environment – want someone who is familiar with new line installations, strong presence on the floor, CI mindsetStrong understanding of reporting, yield loss, uptime, labor utilization, and safetyStrong understanding of USDA and FDA standardsFamiliarity with HACCP, SQF, SSOP, and SOPHands-on, self-starter with the ability to motivate and lead staff while reaching production goals and adhering to safety standardsThey will be responsible for:Managing all plant operations including production, warehouse, maintenance, and qualityWork closely with full operation management team which includes maintenance, QA, warehouse, sanitation, finance, and human resourcesLead the recruiting, interview, hiring and training of new plant employeesEnsure company standards are achieved with an emphasis on continuous improvement, providing support, structure, and training for employeesAnalyze production performance records and dataEnsure operating equipment are running smoothly and effectivelyMaintain compliance with established policies and proceduresMaintain workflow by monitoring and developing processing instructions, observing control points and equipment, monitoring staffExecute product manufacturing goals by establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems and reporting results of the processing flowClient is offering relocation assistance and targeting 140k-180k base DOE.
