AKRF is seeking an accomplished and highly experienced Senior Acoustical Consultant to join the management team of our Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration team. The successful candidate will provide strategic direction, oversee high-profile projects, and contribute to the team's growth and development. This role requires deep expertise in acoustical consulting, exceptional leadership skills, and strong business acumen.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Acoustics, Noise, and Vibration team.

Manage and oversee large-scale, complex acoustical consulting projects, ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Conduct advanced acoustical analysis, noise and vibration assessments, and modeling for a wide range of projects, including architectural acoustics, MEP systems, environmental impact assessments, transportation, and construction.

Develop and implement innovative noise and vibration mitigation strategies and solutions.

Prepare and review technical reports, presentations, and proposals for clients and stakeholders.

Collaborate with senior management and multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, architects, and environmental scientists.

Mentor and develop junior and mid-level staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.

Lead business development efforts, including client relationship management, identifying new business opportunities, and preparing proposals.

Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in acoustics, noise, and vibration, and apply this knowledge to enhance our services and capabilities.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in acoustical consulting, with a proven track record of successful project management and leadership.

Extensive experience with acoustical modeling software (e.g., Treble, EASE, CadnaA, INSUL, AIM, etc.) and measurement equipment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Professional certifications (e.g., INCE Board Certification) are highly desirable.

Demonstrated experience in business development and client relationship management.

Compensation will range from $125K to $175K, and commensurate with experience.
