QuickBooks & DrakeWe are seeking a Senior Tax Consultant with experience in the agriculture industry, working with farmers, suppliers, and equipment companies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for LLCs, S-Corps, Partnerships, Individuals, and small C-Corps. Occasional travel to the office near Fort Wayne, IN for client meetings is required.Responsibilities:Prepare complex tax returns, including federal, state, and local returnsOversee and schedule work for staff preparersReview staff-prepared returns and provide feedbackAssist staff with tax preparation questions (via phone or chat)Identify and recommend process improvementsCommunicate missing information to client managersManage status updates of tax returnsResearch and address technical tax issuesRespond to IRS notices and lead specific compliance projectsRequirements:Minimum 5 years of experience in public accountingExperience leading a team and reviewing tax returnsEnrolled Agent (EA) certification required, CPA preferredBachelor's degree in accountingFamiliarity with agricultural industry clients is a plusVaco values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply.
