Position Description

This is a remote position which requires working office hours in the Eastern Time Zone, with preference of being based in the Southeast.

JOB SUMMARY

Leads strategic and operational partnership to the field leadership and corporate relations team to ensure the American Cancer Society is seen as the premier organization for corporations to partner with. Accountable for national corporate relations revenue ($70M+ in 2023). Responsible for providing quality customer service through strong collaboration with internal and external partners.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Partner to EVP, Chiefs of Staff and area leads to ensure the Region-wide planning, execution and implementation of revenue opportunities driven through corporate priority accounts by Regional corporate relations teams and GHQ corporate sales and alliances team.

Responsible for roll-up fundraising goal of corporate accounts nationwide.

Advisor to regional leadership on growth plans for priority markets identified for corporate growth.

Provide account management expertise to leadership and field staff to maximize large partnership opportunities, bringing in the subject matter experts as necessary.

Convene regional corporate relations staff to share best practices, brainstorm new ideas, and roll out new concepts, tools and resources.

Manage forecasting and budgeting process for corporate sources in assigned region to ensure consistent and accurate reporting nationwide.

Coaches, develops, and trains corporate account operations program managers to meet Region and enterprise revenue and mission goals; coordinates prioritization and ownership of activities to ensure consistency nationwide.

Serve as national implementation manager for high profile, high opportunity national partnerships to ensure maximum revenue is raised through the partnership.

Drive collaboration between the Region and subject matter experts throughout the organization (i.e., corporate alliances, risk management, etc.) to ensure quality customer service and integrated, seamless delivery to corporate priority accounts.

Escalates issues or potential risks related to a program or account relationship.

Works within and nationwide to develop and achieve high quality fundraising programs, delivering against revenue strategies.

Accountable for corporate program support, fulfillment completion, and customer satisfaction metrics.

Develops comprehensive strategies for nationwide implementation, as it relates to corporate relations, for training, stewardship/mission integration, executive engagement and tools/resources.

Ensures the successful delivery of program details by managing and collaborating with execution staff throughout the Regions and Global Headquarters.

Monitors and evaluates program success, ROI and corporate account satisfaction as applicable.

Serves as program owners; collaborates on approaches to meet income and mission targets for ACS and the account.

Works with cross-functional account teams to meet and/or exceed shared mission and income goals and objectives.

Builds strong relationships and directly collaborates with staff within the Regional staff team to leverage external affiliations and accomplish shared goals.

Supports the EVP and Chiefs of Staff to ensure top line, and bottom line goals are reached as well as compliance with enterprise policies.

Strategically partners with account managers and peers to improve processes and policies to make ACS more efficient, effective, and easier with which to conduct business.

Assesses risks, issues and opportunities to identify viable, innovative solutions; collaborates with peers and colleagues to identify and leverage Region and Nationwide best practices.

Monitors return on investment and impact for corporate partnerships in the region; identifies improvements that maximize impact on the Society's program of work, and program efficiency and effectiveness.

Monitors progress against objectives; adjusts plans and manages contingency efforts and resources as required.

Models and fosters behavior that establishes a culture that values the staff/volunteer partnership, and is consistent with the values, goals, and objectives of the Society to create an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, empowerment, and dedication to the mission.

Works in partnership with ACS CAN, including efforts to increase ACS CAN fundraising.

Position Requirements

FORMAL KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field. Preferred eight years' experience executing corporate programs and events for a multi-million-dollar organization. Experience should extend to working in a supervisory role related to program management and implementations, with successful account management or equivalent interactions. Project management certification a plus.

OTHER SKILLS

Able to manage and motivate diverse groups and individuals, and work successfully as a leader in a team environment.

Able to cultivate relationships with targeted organizations and diverse populations to create a sense of urgency related to awareness of cancer as a major health problem and motivate to action.

Able to interact effectively with representatives of all levels from Fortune 1000, large corporations, community leaders, and distinguished partners.

Outcome driven with strong project planning and organization skills.

Strong customer service orientation, with extensive experience in effectively addressing, negotiating, and resolving issues with constituents as they arise.

Ability to respond appropriately and effectively to changing circumstances and priorities.

Demonstrated ability in handling multiple priorities, partnering with multiple levels of the organization (EVPs, GHQ leadership, area leads, account managers and account operations managers), managing projects and tracking expenses, timelines, and coordinating resources.

Able to integrate and analyze information to assist with recommending options and solutions.

Remains composed under stress, handles responses to criticism tactfully and takes responsibility for delivering on organizational commitments.

Strong market, community and constituent perspective.

Ability to analyze and integrate information from relevant sources and make appropriate decisions.

Broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of the American Cancer Society including policies and procedures.

Knowledge of product marketing/sales concepts.

Outstanding presentation skills.

Proficient in computer-based applications.

Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

SPECIALIZED TRAINING OR KNOWLEDGE

Program or project management experience is preferred.

SPECIAL MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Some travel required.

The starting range is $103,000-$127,000. The final candidate's relevant experience/skills will be considered before an offer is extended. Actual starting pay will vary based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
