Responsibilities:

Advanced Labor Relations Expertise:

Provide advanced labor relations expertise in line with YNHHS policies, procedures, and applicable laws.

Conduct labor relations investigations and draft responses to employee and labor relations matters.

Contract Administration and Negotiations:

Manage labor relations activities, including grievance administration, discipline, and contract negotiations.

Represent YNHHS in arbitration disputes and lead/participate in collective bargaining negotiations.

Relationship Building:

Work collaboratively with union representatives to enhance working relationships.

Participate in management/labor meetings as a YNHHS representative.

Information Collection and Analytics:

Analyze and implement arbitration award decisions.

Conduct research on union-related matters and prepare reports of findings.

Compliance and Training:

Ensure YNHHS compliance with bargaining unit agreements.

Prepare and conduct training sessions on labor and employee relations practices.

Qualifications:

Education:

Graduate degree in human resource management, business, healthcare administration, law, or related field.

Experience:

7 years in Labor/Employee relations, with knowledge of labor laws and regulations. Previous experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Special Skills:

Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations, excellent relationship and project management skills, high emotional intelligence, effective communication, proven team player with strong analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities and lead during periods of change.
