12 hour shifts, rotating weekendsPosition SummaryThe Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) is an excellent opportunity in providing high-quality patient care, monitoring, and mobility. If you are a skilled communicator and love being the focal communication source, this is the job for you.
As an HUC at MultiCare, you will hone your patient care and monitoring skills, nurture your communications development, and collaborate in support of care and delivery of patient services.ResponsibilitiesYou will perform receptionist and communications dutiesObserve telemetry monitoring and recognition of cardiac dysrhythmiasSupport care delivery and services to patients from diverse ethnic and social groupsYou will regularly utilize your independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skillsCollaborate with Clinical Director and/or RN for optimal care delivery and patient servicesRequirementsCompletion of an approved Unit Secretary vocational training course or currently enrolled in clinical education program OR previous patient care experience of one (1) year or equivalent clerical experience of one (1) year in a medical settingOur ValuesAs a MultiCare employee, we'll rely on you to reflect our core values of Respect, Integrity, Stewardship, Excellence, Collaboration, Kindness, and Joy.
