Identify, evaluate, test and implement new technologies for process improvements. Responsible for the Plasmid Evaluation process when onboarding new client products. Write, execute and review Process Development (PD) production batch records. Supervise production processes for the manufacture of plasmid DNA in the PD lab.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned.Design and run experiments to develop processes for the manufacture of plasmid DNA.Implement new equipment and processes for the manufacture of plasmid DNA.Qualified in all processes involved in the manufacture of plasmid DNA and able to train and explain science behind processes to junior staff.Specify and procure appropriate equipment as needed.Install, commission and trouble shoot equipment as needed.Scale-up processes to meet growing demands.Supervise the Plasmid Evaluation process from generation of instruction to generation of summary.Supervise the Highly Documented production process from generation of instruction to batch record review.Author and review PD standard operating procedures.Establish and maintain the PD lab schedule for manufacturing plasmid DNA conforming to VGXI guidelines.Mentor junior staff and support team growth though the supervision of assigned projects.Report back to Head of Process Development on the general status of operations and specific issues of concern as needed.Monitor publications, presentations, etc., to stay current on all processing technology and recommend process improvements over time.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
