For more information about Draper, visit www.draper.com.Job Description Summary:The Supplier Quality Group Leader will lead a group that is responsible for ensuring supplier quality within Draper’s supply chain. The Group Leader is the first level of management and requires the ability to apply sound management principles for a group of approximately 10 technical staff with supplier quality expertise in a low-volume, high-mix production environment.Specific Responsibilities Include:Manage administrative details and career development for group members.Convey relevant information from management to group members.Conduct performance evaluations of group members.Drive supplier quality performance, development, and business relationship.Collaborate with purchasing, engineering, operations, and other programs to develop suppliers for the highest quality at the lowest cost.Develop and maintain systems to monitor supplier performance, KPI, and qualifications.Grow and develop supplier quality organization while supporting multiple programs in a high mix low volume system.Ensure CA/PA are closed while meeting Draper cost, quality, and delivery goals.Interface with customer when applicable.Point of contact for documents related to supplier quality, quality qualification, and metrics.Help with internal and external audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.Ensure suppliers meet and maintain Draper expectations.Lead auditor and trainer for supplier audits/assessments to meet Draper or other applicable standards.Responsible for the overall growth, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Supplier Quality team.Required QualificationsSupplier quality process expert.Statistics, Six-Sigma, LEAN, SCAR, quality systems, audits, and manufacturing.Experience with developing, growing, and designing supplier quality management systems in unique manufacturing environments.Demonstrated strategic supply chain activities and management.Develop a proactive supplier quality management system.Leads strategic supply chain activities to manage work with suppliers and programs.Desired candidate has GD&T experience.A minimum of ten years' experience in Supplier Quality manufacturing. Desired candidate has aerospace, biomedical, and/or semiconductor experience.Job Description:Lead, mentor, build depth in their area of expertise, and conduct performance evaluations of group members. Maintain awareness of staffing requirements, write job requisitions (responsibilities and required qualifications) for hiring as required, review and disposition incoming resumes, conduct interviews. Serve as Lead Subject Matter Expert for Area of specialty. Shape Draper’s technology offerings and open new business areas based on program and technical experience.
