National Award-Winning Studio & Winner of Design Firm of the Year is actively seeking a Structural Project Manager to join either their Anaheim, Rancho Cucamonga, Folsom, Dallas, TX, Houston, TX, or San Antonio, TX office. The Structural Division

The Structural Division specializes in comprehensive structural engineering planning and design services, including structural assessments and forensics investigations. Their engineers have extensive experience and knowledge of structural engineering services for education, commercial, religious, healthcare, sports & entertainment, hospitality, retail, and federal/government. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the design and construction of a diverse range of projects.

Ensure timely project completion, adherence to budget constraints, and attainment of the highest quality standards.

Conduct regular meetings with the engineering team, collaborate with other disciplines, and engage with contractors throughout the design and construction phases.

Contribute to the generation and management of project schedules, budgets, and resource priorities.

Address and resolve technical challenges during both the design process and construction phase.

Prepare comprehensive structural specifications, select construction procedures, determine materials and member sizes, and perform all necessary calculations for effective design.

Foster continuous development and coaching of project staff.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

Possess a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a Structural emphasis, and a Master’s degree is preferred.

Hold a Structural Engineering license, S.E., preferred.

Bring a minimum of 10 years of full-time progressive experience in structural engineering.

Ideally, have three or more years of experience in leading multi-discipline project teams.

For California positions, demonstrate practical experience working with the California Division of the State Architects (DSA) preferred.

For Texas positions, former project experience in K-12 education is required.

Exhibit a strong understanding of the California Building Code (CBC) (California applicants only) and all pertinent design codes, including ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS, etc.

Showcase proficiency in widely-used structural engineering and office tools, encompassing ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.

Demonstrate expertise in designing various structural materials, such as steel, concrete, masonry, wood, etc.

Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Notes for California Applicants

While the majority of their projects focus on K-12, their portfolio extends to encompass higher education, government buildings, sports facilities, fire stations, and modifications to existing structures. While expertise in educational projects and familiarity with the DSA process (for California applicants) are advantageous qualities in potential candidates, they also welcome individuals with a strong academic background and relevant experience in general building design in California.
