Managers ServSafe certificateThe Lead, Culinary Services Rep is a guiding member of the Culinary Services department who partners with department leadership to support and work alongside Culinary Stakeholders, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the Culinary Services function to ensure a safe experience for inpatient/outpatient patients, visitors, and employees within the hospital.The Lead follows all established department and hospital policies and procedures and performs duties such as resolving day-to-day operational barriers, maintaining cash, credit and house daily account reconciliations, weekly cashier auditing and documentation, assisting leadership with staff scheduling, ensuring cleanliness of service and dining rooms and proper sanitation and temperature validation procedures are complete, conducting pre-service meetings before meal periods, and reviewing menu and portion sizes.Minimum Job QualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Minimum 3 years' experience in Food and Beverage/Hospitality/High-volume hospital cafeteria setting, preferredPrevious catering experience a plusLicense/ Certification/ Permit:Certification from an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) food handler training accredited program or obtained within 30 days of employment (Required in IL) or Certification of Food Protection Manager (IL) ServeSafe preferred.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong customer service skillsAbility to work well on a teamBasic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office ProductsStrong attention to detail and organizational and time management skillsAbility to be flexible, adapting to changing conditions in a fast-paced environmentCity of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.
