Req #622Monday, August 26, 2024Boralex is a major player in renewable energy specializing in four sectors of activity: wind, solar, hydroelectricity, and storage.We have been based in Kingsey Falls, Quebec, Canada, for 30 years and have since expanded our horizons and established our business in the United States, France, and the United Kingdom.OUR PURPOSEOn our planet where electricity is central to fighting climate change, we have a responsibility to produce it sustainably for future generations.OUR MISSIONAt Boralex, we provide renewable and affordable energy for all, creating value to share with our partners.YOUR PROFILEYou are known for your professionalism, initiative, autonomy and good judgment; you are a team player, you love technical challenges and want to work for a company with strong human values that’s a Quebec pioneer in renewable energy.YOUR CHALLENGEReporting to the Program Director - Storage and in close collaboration with the entire North America Business Unit, you will be a key player throughout the development and the execution of Boralex projects in North America.Your main responsibilities will be to:Help develop the project’s strategy and directions, and ensure these are followed and communicated to the project teamManage and monitor the project according to Boralex’s strategy and profitability, quality and time criteriaReconcile various issues (technical, environmental, etc.) to serve the projects’ scopeMobilize and coordinate a multidisciplinary project team using matrix managementFacilitate communication and collaboration between teams (technical, site, legal, finance, etc.) to encourage collaborators to find optimal solutionsPromote Boralex’s values in its outreach to communities and partnersLead business negotiations with the support of the technical team and the SVP, EPC, North AmericaEnsure the OSH structure is implemented in collaboration with the site teamsMonitor the progress of mandates and adherence to schedules, and take corrective actions as neededIn collaboration with the Project Control team, implement cost and schedule estimation tools according to the specifics of each projectPrepare reports on the status of projects and the overall progress of engineering filesCoordinate the project’s transition from execution to operationsPrepare required documents for various committeesThis position requires frequent travel within North America.YOUR SKILLSBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration or equivalent trainingAt least 10 years of relevant experienceExperience in major renewable and construction projects (an asset)Leadership, thoroughness, organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyKeen interest and skills in working in a team environment and interpersonal communicationExperience with complex project management and contract negotiationAT BORALEX WE OFFERBoralex fosters a culture of sustainable performance in its day-to-day activities.
