Your RoleThe Global Business team area responsibilities include corporate procurement practice, supplier diversity program, supplier governance & risk management, supporting the enterprise environmental sustainability program and managing the corporate insurance program including captive company operations. The Sourcing Specialist, Principal will report to the Director of Supplier Governance. In this role you will focus on contracting agreements in the subject areas of cyber security and privacy requirements related to the Third-Party Incident Impact Reduction initiative.Your WorkIn this role, you will:Act as a trusted advisor and provide leadership through sourcing strategy advice and consultation to best achieve the business strategy and culture of affordability objectives.Advise and support Business work stream leads in making critical design and organizational decisions within their respective areas.Oversee business-specific contracting efforts to drive security, risk management and privacy governance in alignment with the organization's risk appetite.Review, draft, and negotiate IT Security and privacy related terms and conditions for Blue Shield of California agreements, including healthcare agreements, general supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, agreements with vendors and customers, software licensing agreements, scope of work associated with master service agreements, health services contracts, trading partner agreements, business associate agreements, and other contractual agreements.Provide day-to-day advice in the areas of IT contracts and IT Security related contractual issues, including contract interpretation and enforcement, legal and regulatory compliance, and corporate policies and standards.Promote adherence to the organization's policies and standards.Escalate high-priority issues or risks, as appropriate, and monitor progress and results.Provide ongoing risk assessments and contract management support.Your Knowledge and ExperienceRequires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.Requires at least 10 years of professional contracting experience.2+ years of experience in data privacy and security.Strong knowledge of data breach and privacy laws (HIPAA, CCPA).IT or technical background a plus.Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $136,400.00 to $204,600.00 for California.
