This position will be responsible for a 24-hour seven-days a week pet food production plant. Responsibility to lead all maintenance operations of the plant’s production lines. The successful candidate will also be involved in the plant start-up, equipment specification and commissioning activities during the plant initial build and subsequent expansions.Job Description:Must have a minimum 8 years maintenance management/supervisory experience.Demonstrated ability to steer the maintenance team towards a world class reliability organization. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong predictive and preventative maintenance programs.Demonstrated ability to work with other operations teams to engage in optimum equipment reliability strategies including the support of operator care initiatives.Strong knowledge and skills within the maintenance area in regard to electrical systems and controls including:Control systems programming (Allen-Bradley PLCs, SLC500, Control Logix, Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Siemens, Omron).Writing and developing programs, logic, and other associated functions to understand and resolve manufacturing equipment issues.Ability for hands-on electrical and control troubleshooting.Human/Machine Interfaces (HMIs).Electrical schematics.AutoCad.Strong technical knowledge and skills of:Manufacturing/production/distribution equipment, machinery, and facilities.Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pumping systems.4-year degree in engineering or related field strongly desired.Strong analytical ability.Plant start-up experience strongly desired.Requirements:Direct all maintenance activities including preventative, predicative, corrective maintenance, and repairs.Support all plant build and expansion processes.Implement and maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) throughout the facility.Plans short term and long-term maintenance activities while working with internal and external customers.Develop procedures to improve uptime on all manufacturing equipment.Develop and oversee distribution of maintenance documentation.Drive and support continuous improvement programs like RCA, 5S, etc.Coordinates special projects as assigned by manager.Initiates projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.Assists in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.Maintains a professional, courteous manner with all visitors, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.Works within established budget and expense limits.Employee development, training, and conflict resolution.Regular communication with all shift supervisors and maintenance mechanics concerning daily and ongoing maintenance issues.Conduct regular performance reviews based on job descriptions to determine knowledge, skills, and ability of the maintenance supervisors and mechanics.Ensure the plant maintains a safe working environment and remains compliant with environmental regulations.Follows established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Handbook.Assures food safety standards with regards to GMPs and HACCP plan are being followed by self and fellow employees.Apply:Complete your candidate profile at
