We do what we say.Position DescriptionWe're looking for a full-time, staff Sr. Manager, Supply Chain GS, to join the Day & Zimmermann team located in Chantilly, VA. Leads, manages and supports 'Best In Class' Supply Chain for Government Services' businesses; Responsible for the management of strategic sourcing, issuance' and execution of purchase orders, subcontract administration, supplier management and review of purchase order/subcontract terms; Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to ensure Client requirements and schedules are met; Supports and educates key operational stakeholders to ensure SAP and Supply Chain processes are in compliance.As the Sr. Manager, Supply Chain GS, here's the work you'll do:Directs and manages strategic sourcing and execution strategies for all materials, services and equipment required by contract to improve supply chain performance through process, innovation, and capability development in accordance with Government Contracting principles within CPSR; Drives a culture focusing on process, compliance, metrics and tangible results; Contributes to the ongoing development of Supply Chain best practices across Government Services; Acts as a change agent to manage and influence change, drive customer focus, and accountability.Leads the proposal efforts including the development of the Supply Chain estimate, Program Procurement Plan and strategy, supplier solicitations, negotiations and quality verification to ensure the proposal deliverables meets Client expectations; Oversees and evaluates supplier performance against contract terms.Provides oversight and management of the Procurement/Subcontract lifecycle from preparation of the RBL to PO/Subcontract closeout; Develops and administers procurements and subcontracts for Government Services' customers.Reviews customer contractual terms to develop & implement the required terms and conditions and flow-down provisions required for the procurement of goods & services; Provides guidance on disputes and risk management/mitigation including problem resolution, pre-qualification of Suppliers and identification of potential risk exposures relating to price and schedule; Demonstrates strong negotiation, collaboration, and leadership skills; Identifies and establishes strong partnerships with new and existing suppliers and service providers - both CONUS and OCONUS.Leads, guides, directs and mentors direct reports; Monitors overall team performance, conducts performance reviews, coaches and develops team members; Engages in timely communication with Supply Chain leadership and site management teams of potential issues to ensure and/or mitigate impact to scheduled dates/deliverables to drive positive business outcomes.This role is for you if you have these skills:Demonstrated knowledge of acquisition requirements for Government contracts (CPSR documented files, ISO 9001, S-OX, ITAR & EAR), including interpreting and applying FAR/DFAR requirements for inclusion in Subcontracts and PO's; Experience managing implementation and audit process of CPSR and "best practices".Demonstrated knowledge of developing Logistics and Inventory management systems in compliance with Government contract requirements on an International level with demonstrated successes in negotiations of multi-million dollar, complex agreements (commercial & government).Forward thinker with quick adaptability to change; Possesses strong analytical skills to break paradigms and promote creativity within a matrixed organization; Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly build strong relationships within a matrixed organization; Strong leadership and team building skills.Supply Chain professional with developed business acumen and the proven ability to reduce supply chain costs and improve efficiencies through process improvement and innovation; Ability to manage confidential information with tact, diplomacy & poise; Ability to analyze data from various systems/sources to determine opportunity/root cause; Possesses a passion for process and problem solve with a natural desire to simplify processes and optimize efficiency; Highly proficient in MS Office, SAP/ERP with the ability to train and develop other teammates.And if you have these qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or equivalent business experienceMinimum 7+ years of Defense and State Department experience; Program Management preferredCPM/CPSM/CPIM; Defense industry, government contracting experience; SAP or other ERP system experience; Security Clearance or ability to obtain Clearance; Travel as required.In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $148,880 - $222,320. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
