Job Description: Warehouse Purchasing Manager:
The Warehouse Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services necessary for the company's operations. This role involves managing supplier relationships, reviewing awarded project SOW and BOM’s, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent negotiation skills, and good understanding of supply chain manufacturers within the telecommunications and security systems industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and equipment.
Identify and evaluate suppliers, reviewing awarded project SOW and BOM, and establish strong working relationships with key vendors.
Monitor market trends and conduct cost analyses to identify potential cost savings.
Inventory Control:
Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock without over-purchasing.
Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee inventory audits.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for inventory control and management.
Supplier Management:
Evaluate supplier performance and ensure competitive pricing.
Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly and effectively.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Budgeting and Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, including cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory levels.
Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in procurement processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the engineering, project management, and operations teams to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely payment of invoices and reconciliation of purchase orders.
