Project ManagerJob Summary:

Tucker Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for our Service Department to assist the company in meeting its objectives and goals by overseeing and directing assigned commercial mechanical projects at various locations in Connecticut and taking appropriate actions to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and with defined resources.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare bids and job quotes for projectsMeet with existing/potential clients to review installation/retrofit oriented projectsPrepare estimates for design-build and plan and specification projectsExecute and manage terms of project contractsEnsure a complete scope of work is definedMonitor project budgets and labor costsMonitor and prepare project schedules with milestone deadlines to be achievedReview, analyze and make recommendations on project change ordersAnalyze plans and subsequent construction documents to confirm project requirements and opportunities for value engineeringPrepare documents for billing purposes and coordinate with accounting personnelReview projects with General Manager periodically and per requestMaintain regular communication and collaborationSpend time on assigned job sites, as needed/requiredPrepare and manage communications with general contractors, Owners, or construction managers for assigned projectsRecommend methods and/or improvements based on project needs and resource capabilitiesReport and resolve employee concerns and/or grievances as neededEnsure job site employees maintain a safe work environmentAttend and conduct meetings as requiredComply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as establishedPreferred Education and/or Experience:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have 5-7 years of project or construction work-related Mechanical/HVAC experience and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Preferred candidate shall have a bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.Computer Skills:Must be proficient in Microsoft Office – Excel and WordCOINs experience is preferredRequired Attributes:Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skillsMust prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environmentMust have demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functionsMust work with minimal supervisionMust effectively manage time and detailsMust interpret a variety of instructions, provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formMust have organizational skills in handling & archiving technical dataMust comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programsMust have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, vendors, and suppliersLanguage Skills:
