Assistant Director of Recreational Therapy

Full TimeSpring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is looking for a full-time Assistant Director of Recreational Therapy during day hours. Previous skilled nursing experience or long-term care is required.Responsibilities:Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operations of the Recreation Therapy Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.Assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet the interests and the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident.Assist the Activity Director in the development, organization, coordination, and implementation of comprehensive therapeutic recreation services and programs.Complete required documentation and assist with planning and leadership of special events.Maintain activity department supplies and equipment.We are seeking an individual who has a passion for working with seniors at a long-term care facility.
