In this role as a Senior Procurement Category Manager, you will support strong vendor relationships with key providers, as well as with key internal stakeholders in order to achieve seamless collaboration between Parexel vendors and internal project leaders and study teams.As a Senior Procurement CM, you will act as an advisor, providing guidance and advice to the category managers and other internal business owners.You will successfully identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives. Furthermore, you will implement measures to optimize procurement processes, such as contract standardization and automation. You will track and analyze procurement data to identify trends and areas for improvement while collaborating with finance and other departments to develop and monitor cost-saving initiatives.Additionally, you will advise on contract negotiations, vendor selection, and risk assessment, while supporting category managers and business owners in addressing complex procurement issues.Skills:IT CATEGORY MANAGEMENT experience with a focus on HARDWARE and TELECOM is REQUIREDPreferred minimum of 5-7 years Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management experienceExperience in developing and implementing procurement processes, strategies, and best practices with strong contract management skills.Ability to foster and maintain relationships with vendors and internal stakeholdersKnowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to procurement processes.Analytical in nature with excellent communication skills - strong interpersonal, negotiation ability with exceptional problem-solving skills.Ability to conduct market research and analysisProficiency in using procurement software and toolsSolid understanding of finance and cost-saving principlesStrong organizational, attention to detail and effective time management skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively multi-task.Strong leadership and decision-making skillsRequired Knowledge and Experience:Ideal candidates would have experience within the field of clinical vendor operational delivery (ex: Laboratories, Interactive Response Technology, Electronic Clinical Outcome Assessments, Translations) or hands-on experience in the management of clinical vendor services.Preferred minimum of 5-7 years Category Management/Strategic Procurement/Vendor Management experience.Experience in managing the scoping of clinical vendor services for complex sponsor protocols and familiarity with vendor startup/operational activities during maintenance phase.Experience in working with multiple stakeholders, including sponsors, in the development and finalization of vendor scope of service.Demonstrated experience in conducting difficult conversations and negotiating with sponsors as well as vendors.Education:Educated to a bachelor’s degree level. Preferred background in a life science, pharmacy, health-related discipline, business administration, management, IT, Nursing or other relevant experience within clinical vendor management required.
