Job Description - Manager Specialty Supply Chain (24000481)JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for oversight of administrative, operational, and financial management of various functions and services related to surgical specialty supply chain management. Responsibilities include management of assigned staff; organization, management, and distribution of specialty surgical supplies; ensuring suitable supply organization and PAR levels; designing operational processes; monitoring performance through observation and/or data gathering; and implementing various performance/financial improvement initiatives. Participates as a collaborative team member on multi-disciplinary committees; interviews, makes recommendations to hire, transfer, and discharge; assigns work to and evaluates work performance of employees supervised; administers disciplinary action in accordance with Departmental and Human Resources guidelines and compliance with applicable legal and accreditation standards within the department. There will be heavy coordination of operations of the department with surgical services leadership and surgeons. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Healthcare.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of professional, progressive healthcare experience including hospital supply chain, finance, or analytics.Proficient in using computer applications for analyzing data, communicating, and producing reports.Master’s degree, CMRP, and experience with PAR management systems preferred.Advanced degree can substitute years of experience.Primary Location
