Alpharetta, GABrief Description:SCE is looking to grow our GIS services in the Alpharetta, GA region by adding a new GIS Project Manager to our team. Candidates shall have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Esri ArcGIS software, GIS and GNSS standards and best practices, local government (cities and counties) and the Architecture/Engineering/Construction industry. Must have the ability to organize assigned work and develop effective work methods. Responsible for the leadership and management of a project team in support of the project’s profitable operation. Responsible for proactively managing the project technical budget (labor, expenses, and sub-consultants), schedule, technical requirements, contractual obligations, project communications, and successful delivery of quality work, on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction on every project.Examples of work/duties:Actively manages project scope, schedule, and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to successful completion and to the client’s satisfaction.Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, and design preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.Conducts use-case analysis of business functions to establish GIS application requirements and geospatial data model requirements.Coordinates and oversees technical work efforts and performs quality assurance of work performed by the project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.Develops project scope and fee quotation and assists in the organization and preparation of proposals and contracts.Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization and projects.Actively participate in business development and marketing opportunities.Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:Possess a valid driver’s license.Four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information Systems or related field.Eight (8) years of Geographic Information Systems experience.Two (2) years of project management experience.Experience using Esri ArcGIS including Pro, ArcGIS Online, and mobile apps including ArcGIS Field Maps and Survey123.Proficient in Microsoft Office.Desired Qualifications:

GISP CertificationEsri Technical Certification(s)GIS Graduate Certificate or Master’s DegreeExperience managing GIS projects for utilities and/or local and county governmentExperience with GNSS field data collection and equipmentCertified remote pilot – Part 107 Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)

Work Environment (locations and physical requirements):Employee may be asked to work in a remote capacity and not have a fixed office within the office space.Employee is subject to working alone and/or with groups and/or attends meetings.Employee spends extended periods of time at fixed workstation.Employee may be required to work overtime, holidays, evenings, shifts, or weekends.The essential functions of this job require occasional carrying/lifting moderate objects, grasping, standing, and walking; frequent hearing, repetitive motion, and talking; continuously fingering and sitting.SCE is an Esri Silver Business Partner. This is a full-time position based out of our Alpharetta, GA office with the potential for remote and hybrid work arrangements. The work hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
