The Senior Installation Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of installation duties on technology projects for our clients. This position is the key field position for the bulk of the actual work that gets done in our clients' buildings. The install tech needs to coordinate with project management, field superintendents and others to fully understand their role on specific projects. They interpret our drawing packages to create the basis of the finished systems. This installation can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, etc. The Senior Tech will be responsible for our most complex system designs, will mentor other technicians and set the example in all aspects of the job.What will you be doing?

Possess all skills from Install Tech and Associate Fabrication Tech job descriptionsLeads and delegates tasks to install crews, subcontractors, and union trades. May be required to regularly lead a team on large projectsVerifies all work complies with Diversified's and clients QC standards. Oversee field operations in situations without a dedicated on-site superintendentPhysical installation of a wide variety of technology into a wide variety of locationsExecute a variety of cabling terminations for wire and connector types including verifying crew terminations to our standardsSupport the preparation of equipment racks for staging of equipment wire lacing including installation of power strips, grounding bars, jack-fields, etc.Able to read and understand functional design drawings and cable riser diagramsAble to perform mounting of base build equipment such as monitor mounts, ceiling speakers, microphones and projectorsProvide a consistent level of technical performance as well as flexibility in work schedule. This position requires periodic overtime and may require overtime and weekend work for extended periods to meet client deadlinesAble to complete assignments in accordance with or better than established task durations as well as estimate task durations to meet assigned deadlines. Provides daily feedback to field site supervisor and/or direct managerAble to build and wire custom panels from engineering drawingsAdvanced Fiber optic cable handling, installation termination, repair and testing.Generate cable labels and manage all wire listing activities for cable labels per our standardsResponsible for tracking and maintaining their toolkit, company vehicles and installation materials inventories. Keep clean, orderly and well documented. Maintain an on-site job box when applicableResponsible for checking in drop shipped items and maintaining on-site materials needed by the crew. Working with the PM to assure timely delivery of on-site equipment and materialsResponsible for tracking and maintaining their personal licenses, certifications and qualifications. (Some states have specific requirements in this area)Maintain daily record of time worked on specific projects for timesheet entry as well as an employee/contractor information log to share with management.What do we require from you?

Education/Certifications:

High school or GED equal. Associates/Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experienceAVIXA CTS Certification is preferred, AVIXA CTS-I Certification is highly desiredMust have a valid driver's license and adhere to our insurance requirementsOSHA 30 Certificate required.Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

5 or more years as an installation technician or related industry experience1 year of experience working in a Lead CapacityExperienced with LED Video Walls and Builds (Planar, Samsung, Christies, Unilumin, Multi Taction) RequiredExperienced with leading or managing a team or project required.Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video and networking equipmentKnowledgeable of low voltage electrical conceptsPossess advanced carpentry and/or installation skillsProficient use and safety with power toolsGood verbal communication skills and good customer service skillsAbility to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problemsTo learn more about becoming part of the Diversified team, visit us at
