Manager – Hockey Programs

will oversee multiple Program Hours and/or functions on and off site. The Manager is assigned multiple programs, functions, hours, or an area. In addition to experience related to the programs and/or functions being placed in their care, a manager should also possess superior communication skills, superior time and task management capabilities, leadership and team building qualities. The Manager is also responsible for all staffing, including finding candidates, hiring and/or firing, and assisting payroll.Work schedule will include nights, weekends, and some holidays as necessary to meet the needs of our facilities and to complete job responsibilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Hiring, scheduling and training instructors and other staff.Training Facility Support Staff to support programming hours effectively.Support and assist their direct report's efforts, directives, and initiatives.Maintaining staff budget hours both on and off the ice.Payroll processing of programming hours.Registrations and programming transactions related to the facility/programs in their care; authority/trainer for Halix and programming functions/processes used in the POS system.Being the representative for the program in relation to the community, including:PartnershipsLocal organizationsSocial MediaCultivating the FMC Skating Community within the rinks assigned, including but not limited to:Promoting the crossover from Learn to Skate to Figure Skating or Hockey programs.Helping to build a team atmosphere.Parent, skater, and coach education.Identifying areas for development.Assist with events such as Session Special Events, partner events, community events, public skate events, etc.Other duties assigned.Skills/Knowledge Required:High school diploma or GED.A minimum of two years of paid Instructor experience in either Figure Skating or Hockey.Participated in at least 2-3 years of formal league play.A self-starter with ability to take direction and prioritize tasks from supervisors.Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to process data and compile reports.Flexibility to work varying hours especially as seasons and service needs change.This is a Full-Time position.
