This position assists in food preparation, food serving, and kitchen and dining room clean up at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Hours are 10:45am - 7:15pm and includes every other weekend. 32 to 40 hours per week.

Starting pay is $15.55 plus $2.00 weekend shift differential.Positions available for Full-time

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.Assist in food preparation for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Perform tasks as directed by Food Service Supervisor, Cook, and Cook’s Helper.Prepare residents’ food trays. Check trays for correct cards and food requests/orders. Place trays on carts to appropriate floor.Make coffee, pour milk, coffee, and tea into appropriate containers.May fill in for or relieve missing employee when needed.Perform clean-up tasks including clearing dining room tables; washing trays, food preparation surfaces, pots, pans, utensils, food preparation equipment, dishes, cups etc. Fill dishwasher, dry, and put away food service items.

Minimum Training and Experience Require to Perform Essential Job Functions:* Commercial or institutional food service experience in a long-term care facility preferred, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.* A basic understanding of caring for the elderly and special needs.* Ability to read and comprehend general operating manuals and guidelines.
